So after an hour, the person we just introduced ourselves to will likely forget what we told them. In order to avoid becoming only a faint memory, we use business cards.

Business cards are one of the most important marketing materials. It gives the opportunity to be contacted by a potential client, rather than hoping they will remember how to contact you or hoping they memorized your business name. It also give you the chance to show off your professionalism and legitimacy of your business.

Knowing how important business cards are, we’ve collected 4 common mistakes and how to avoid them:

Mistake #1: Buying cheap business cards to cut corners.

We understand owning a business is very expensive. You need to find good deals in order to keep overhead and operating costs low. While being frugal helps in some areas, marketing materials are not an area to cut costs. Marketing materials may cost you over $1,000, but if they are helping you bring in over 40k in revenue, it should be an easy decision.
