Position Overview

The Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, managing projects from intake through final delivery. This client-facing role is responsible for ensuring seamless coordination across production, creative, and logistics teams while maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships.

The ideal candidate builds trust quickly, anticipates client needs, and proactively solves challenges before they impact project success. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously, while identifying opportunities for account growth and delivering an exceptional client experience. Strong communication skills, responsiveness, and the ability to navigate competing priorities without missing details are critical to success in this position.

What You’ll Do

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client engagements.
  • Manage client expectations, provide regular updates, and address concerns to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Resolve issues proactively while delivering a high level of customer service.

Account & Program Management

  • Manage multiple customers, accounts, and programs with minimal need for oversight.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans, including national or multi-location programs.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and expanded services.
  • Manage accounts independently, including those without a dedicated sales representative.

Project Coordination

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across production, creative, and logistics teams.
  • Ensure projects are executed successfully from intake through delivery.
  • Coordinate resources and timelines to meet client expectations and deadlines.
  • Support development and execution of tools such as O’Neil Direct storefronts, POD specifications, and inventory pricing programs.

Communication & Reporting

  • Provide regular updates to internal leadership on account performance, progress, and opportunities.
  • Communicate complex solutions clearly and effectively to clients.
  • Present information in a way that is tailored to the audience and easily understood.

Continuous Improvement & Advocacy

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a client advocate to ensure internal alignment and successful outcomes.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3–5+ years of experience in client services or sales, preferably within print.
  • Knowledge of printed materials including digital and offset print, direct mail, wide format, and storefront solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe tools, and production management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and proactive communication abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including active listening, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
  • Experience presenting solutions and building client understanding and trust.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role operates primarily in an office environment with regular interaction across internal departments. Occasional client meetings may be required based on account needs.
