Position Overview
The Installation Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the successful execution of wide format graphics and signage installations from project kickoff through completion. This client-facing and operations focused role serves as the primary liaison between customers, internal production teams, subcontracted installers, and field personnel to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer communication and field oversight.
What You’ll Do
Project Management & Coordination
- Manage wide format graphics and signage installation projects from initial handoff through final completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, installation timelines, and deployment plans.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, permits, site access, and installation logistics.
- Schedule and oversee installation crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve scheduling or operational issues.
Client Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during installation phases.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings and provide ongoing project updates.
- Manage client expectations regarding timelines, deliverables, and site conditions.
- Address customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Site Surveys & Field Oversight
- Perform site visits and surveys to evaluate installation conditions, measurements, access requirements, and potential challenges.
- Verify site readiness prior to installation.
- Provide onsite supervision and quality control during installations when required.
- Ensure installations meet company quality standards and client specifications.
Operations & Logistics
- Collaborate with production, fabrication, and graphics teams to ensure project readiness.
- Coordinate material deliveries, freight scheduling, and equipment rentals.
- Confirm all installation documentation, drawings, and work orders are accurate and complete.
- Maintain organized project files and installation records.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce safe work practices and job site compliance.
- Ensure installers and subcontractors adhere to company and customer safety requirements.
- Identify and mitigate installation risks and field-related issues.
Project Closeout
- Conduct final walkthroughs and punch list management.
- Obtain project signoffs and completion documentation.
- Support billing accuracy through proper documentation and change order tracking.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of project management, installation coordination, or field operations experience preferred.
- Experience in wide format printing, signage, environmental graphics, construction, or related industries preferred.
- Self-motivated and highly accountable.
- Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
- Team-oriented with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to anticipate problems and proactively develop solutions.
- Ability to occasionally lift materials and work in active job site environments.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position operates in a combination of office, production, and field environments. Frequent local travel to customer sites and installation locations is required. Occasionally early morning, evening, or weekend work may be necessary based on installation schedules.
