How O’Neil helped Arizona State University bring its partnership with Honeywell to life through a complex branded environment.
ASU-Honeywell
The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University partnered with Honeywell to create an immersive branded environment celebrating innovation, advanced engineering, and sustainability. The installation needed to engage students, faculty, and visitors while reflecting the standards and ambitions of both organizations. ASU’s Marcomm and creative team partnered with O’Neil to plan, produce, and install the environment. With complex architectural elements, multiple stakeholders, and a fixed deadline tied to a major university event, O’Neil helped coordinate the details so the space arrived on time and delivered a clear, high-impact experience.
Arizona State University’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering is the largest engineering school in the United States, supporting a broad range of academic and administrative departments. ASU’s Marcomm and creative team leads recruitment and engagement efforts across eight engineering divisions, with a focus on communicating ASU’s commitment to innovation and real-world impact.
For this project, the team needed a branded environment that would serve as a daily touchpoint for students and visitors while showcasing the ASU and Honeywell partnership.
ASU’s team needed to align branding, goals, and approvals across Honeywell’s branding team, ASU’s architecture office, ASU’s brand office, and the ASU Foundation.
The installation included walls, windows, and irregular surfaces with varying materials, requiring precision in planning and execution.
A major ASU event set an inflexible deadline, leaving no room for delays or missteps.
O’Neil partnered closely with ASU’s Marcomm team to manage planning, production, and installation from start to finish. Acting as both consultant and execution partner, O’Neil helped translate creative intent into practical solutions tailored to the realities of the space.
With Branded Environments expertise on the O’Neil Platform, materials, graphics, and installation methods were coordinated to stay aligned with brand standards and project timelines.
O’Neil supported the project with consultative design guidance, material recommendations, detailed measurements, and production planning. The team worked closely with ASU to help ensure graphic files were optimized for the space, supporting a smoother production and installation process.
O’Neil also provided hands-on coordination with building services and managed the installation schedule to keep all elements on track and completed to a high standard of quality.
The immersive environment now serves as a daily point of inspiration for students, faculty, and visitors.
All installation elements were completed ahead of a major ASU event with no compromises in quality.
The installation provides a permanent, high-impact representation of ASU and Honeywell’s collaboration.
In the Client’s Words
