Print Personalization: Die Cutting 101
Marketing for your business can be difficult when you need to come up with new creative ideas to make your service or product stand out. At O’Neil, we understand the importance of custom and unique marketing ideas. Many of our unique projects use die cutting.
Whether you are sending personalized greeting cards or coupons, the goal is for the person receiving the piece to be motivated to keep it. Creating an interesting piece will captivate their interest and make it more likely for it to be kept.
Die Cutting Process
Die cutting is an exciting process for us, because we love creating such unique pieces. To begin, your designer will create your piece and prepare the file with the die lines.
The die cutting machine has the ability to create any shape your business is looking for. We are happy to offer these services in house, so our team can answer any questions you may have.
Once we receive your designs, we will determine if we need to create a metal die (the cut out for your print piece). If your piece is a more generic shape, we may have your metal die ready to go. For a more unique shape (see below), we will need to create a custom metal die for your project.

Manufacturing of your die cut is a fairly quick process once your metal die is created. The most challenging part of the process is getting the perfect design for your project!
