4 Ways to Prep Your Business for the Holiday Season
The holiday season is the busiest time of the year. Between managing a business and prepping your home for in-laws, this season is bound to make us all a little nutty. The trick is to stay on top of the holidays by making sure your business is prepared. We want to help you keep your sanity by giving you four simple steps to keep your business ahead.
Step 1: Create a holiday marketing campaign.
The best way to avoid the stress of the holidays is to create a plan. Your plan should involve a holiday-focused marketing campaign, which details how your business intends on staying at the top of your clients’ minds. With everyone being so busy around this time, it’s important to find multiple ways to reach your audience. One great way to remind your clients about your business in through direct mail. Sending greeting cards or thoughtful packages will remind clients that their business is important to you. In addition, we suggest creating holiday inspired social content for your social media accounts. Creating any special promotions during the holiday season will also entice clients to work with you during the holiday season. Set time aside before the holiday season to brainstorm what creative ideas your business can achieve!
Step 2: Generate a list of who your business should reach this season.
While it’s great to have a beautiful marketing campaign ready to go with holiday inspired themes, it’s equally as important to spend time generating a list of who you intend on reaching this season. For example, the greeting card you send to your clients may not be the gift you would send to your partners. Organizing the lists based on clients, partners, and potential clients will help determine the numbers of how much you will need to order.
Step 3: Meet with your graphic designer to discuss how you want to present your business.
Whether you are planning social graphics, a greeting card, or an entire holiday package, your graphic designer will need time to create designs that fit your brand. Your designer can tailor your holiday materials to match your brand colors, fonts, and logo. It’s important to give your designer enough time to work on creating something unique for your business.
Step 4: Contact the O’Neil sales team to determine how much time in advance you’ll need to have your deliverables ready for print!
In order to make this season less stressful, you’ll need to figure out when you want to send out your holiday materials. If you need to send out your greeting cards on December 1, you will want to make sure your designer and our print team have enough time to get them out on that day. We can even send them out for you! Pro tip: record your deadlines and add them to your calendar to ensure your holiday packages aren’t accidentally sent in 2019.
Stay on top of your game this holiday season and let us help you “wow” your clients this year!
